Meet AICV (AI Coachella Valley)

Desert Community Foundation is proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor of AICV (AI Coachella Valley, a Rancho Mirage-based initiative preparing the Coachella Valley's workforce, institutions, and communities for the age of artificial intelligence.

Founded by Sat Singh and anchored at the CSUSB Entrepreneurship Resource Center in Palm Desert, AICV operates on two tracks that reinforce each other.

The first is community readiness. Through workshops, public education, and partnerships with College of the Desert, CSUSB, and regional workforce organizations, AICV is working to ensure that valley residents — not just technology workers — understand what AI means for their jobs, their businesses, and their daily lives. This is the work DCF is proud to support directly.

The second is infrastructure. AICV is building the Coachella Valley's first structured intelligence layer — a machine-readable knowledge base that maps the region's institutions, economy, and assets so that AI agents, researchers, and decision-makers can find and understand this valley accurately. Sixty-one nodes across all nine cities. More than 120 published intelligence briefs. A real-time record of the region's AI economy being built in public.

Both tracks serve the same mission: a Coachella Valley that owns its place in the AI economy rather than watching from the sidelines.
